Antisemitism

The Green Forest School District defines Antisemitism as; ”A certain perception of Jews, which mayt be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish  individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities. Antisemitism may be expressed in speech; writing; visual forms; and actions, and employs sinister stereotypes and negative character traits.” 

Discrimination and harassment based on antisemitism is expressly prohibited in the Green Forest School District. The District strongly prohibits this behavior in both educational programs and activites. Students, parents, or employees of the district who are experiencing these actions may report them directly to the Title VI coordinator. Actions

  • A student or a student’s parent may contact the District Title VI Coordinator directly with any complaints of discrimination or harassment based on antisemitism. District employees are responsible for timely notifying the District Title VI Coordinator of any complaints they recieve or incidents they witness of discrimination or harrassment based on antisemitism. 

    Reports taken by the Title VI Coordinator will be invesitgated and handled in accordance Policy 6.7(COMPLAINTS). The District Title VI Coordinator shall report an incident or complaint of discriminator or harassment under this policy to the Arkansas Department of Education.

  • ASBA 4.65 Antisemitism Prohibited

    This policy provided by the Arkansas School Board Association States that all acts of Antisemitism are strongly prohibited. 

  • A student who is founded to have violated the provisions of this policy may be subject to discipline, up to and including expulsion.
